A new school of mostly young carvers has developed in Cape Dorset over the past decade or more. Jamasie Pitseolak, Isacie Etidlooie and other talented artists are depicting everyday southern-style objects such as guitars, motorcycles and flowers by painstakingly constructing miniature stone replicas. Napachie Sharky's house looks like it might have been inspired by a drawing of one of the new wave of Cape Dorset graphic artists.
